Description:
R. Baker & Son perormed the demolition and removal of the following buildings: 46, 20B, 52, 15A, 53, TF-1, 40, 43A, and 43B.

Prior to demolition of the above buildings, the mechanical systems were de-engergized, isolated and capped, rigged, dismantled and scrapped; R. Baker & Son rendered all equipment unusable for any purpose. Concrete slabs and pads remained in place.

A ten man crew was utilized along with three excavators with shears and grapples, two skid steer loaders equipped with grapple buckets and hammers, two telescopic manlifts and 120' manlift.

Kings County Hospital - Brooklyn, NY

Description:
R. Baker & Son performed an eight phase demolition and environmental remediation project at Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn, NY.

The project consisted of the selective interior demolition followed by asbestos abatement. Upon abated areas, R. Baker & Son returned to continue with the selective demolition.

In addition to interior demolition, R. Baker & Son demolished buildings U, UCC amd PRC; removed all piping, conduit and other related services from the underground tunnel.

Bristol-Myers Squibb Bldg. 2 & 29 - Humacao, PR

Description:
R. Baker & Son was awarded the demolition and removal of Buildings 2 and 29 for Bristol-Myers Squibb at their Humacao, PR facility in October 2007.

Due to capital exenditures, the demolition needed to be completed by the end of 2007. This task was accomplished in a safe and expeditious manner.

Prior to dismantling, rigging and demolition activities, R. Baker & Son provided Bristol-Myers Squibb with a comprehensive rigging plan, health and safety plan, staging plan and site safety hazardous assessment.

Decommissioning and dismantling of the two 3-story manufacturing facilities included the clearing of all debris prior to demolition of the outer structure.

The Chevron Oil Company - Perth Amboy, NJ

Description:
R. Baker & Son provided decommissioning, dismantling, demolition of tanks, pipe lines, Methane Plants, Power Plant and Amine plant at the Perth Amboy site.

In addition, R. Baker & Son imploded two 300 ft concrete stacks, broke, separated and loaded sections of concrete from base of stack to basement foundation in order to clear area to make ready for additional demolition to be performed.

Also, R. Baker & Son Demolished and stockpiled concrete on site from sulfur pit, demolished the Dealer Training Center including slab, foundation and footings.
