Rigging

R. Baker & Son removed the building's structural bracing from window area to accommodate the rigging, dismantling and removal of 2000 gallon Hastaloy reactor vessel. In order for the rigging of the vessel it was required to remove the bull gear from old blender. R. Baker & Son then installed a new 2000 gallon Hastaloy vessel. Once the vessel was in place the agiator, drive and Trunions were installed. Rigging procedures included the use of pillow blocking, slings, torches, scissor lift, one 36,000lb forklift and one 15,000lb forklift. The removed Hastaloy reactor vessel was removed from site and scrapped.
