GATX - Staten Island, NY Description: R. Baker & Son performed the total plant decommissioning of the bulk oil storage facility including the demolition of 150 above ground tanks, excavation of dike walls, and the demolition of 10 buildings to grade including associated equipment and pipe racks. The project also involved the decommissioning, cleaning and cleaning 10 miles of product pipe lines utilizing HAZMAT trained personnel. Specs: Decommissioning, Demolition, Environmental Services Yankee Atomic - Rowe, MA Description: R. Baker & Son performed the dismantlement and remove of the secondary side of Yankee Atomic's Rowe, MA facility. The project consisted of a 185 MW steam turbine generator and ancillary equipment including a high pressure turbine rotor and blading, an installed low pressure turbine rotor, the generator itself, the rotating and static exciters, the main transformer and the No. 1 station service transformer. Specs: Decommissioning, Reactor Decommisioning, Rigging, Dismantlement PSE&G - Glenmont, NY Description: R. Baker & Son was chosen by PSE&G to perform the decommissioning and dismantling of four(4) gunite lined steel stacks from top of PSE&G's Glenmont Powerhouse. The 20' diameter, 170' tall stacks sat on top of the 165' high building roof for a total height from the ground of 335'.
